Dear NCFR Conference Attendees,

Thank you all for your incredible patience, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate the ongoing hotel power outage following the bomb-cyclone storm on Tuesday night.

The NCFR staff know that many of you are facing great inconveniences right now.

Here is what we know at this time:
  • Over 600k people lost power in Western Washington.
  • The Cascade Tower is currently running on a generator to provide hot water, hallway lighting, and elevator access.
  • Cascade rooms do not have in-room lighting, heat, TV, and Wi-Fi.
  • Puget Sound Energy is working through widespread outages and do not have a specific time frame for our area to come back up.
  • And most importantly...YOU have all rose to our current challenges with empathy, resilience, and grace.The NCFR staff have seen conference attendees helping each other and offering support to those who need it, just like the best families do. Thank you.

  • Regarding accommodations and amenities:
    • Hotel staff are able to provide additional glow sticks for lighting at the Front Desk
    • There is an additional blanket and pillow in your closet.
    • Across the street, Bellevue Square is currently open for any necessary essentials, meals, or entertainment

    Regarding conference programming:
    • NCFR staff are currently working to move Thursday sessions from rooms in the Cascade Tower to the Olympic Tower.
    • More updates will be shared with you as new information is available.
    • Please refer to the Whova app for the latest updates and information.
